Tribolium In Food/Feed Industries

Red flour beetle, it always said tribolium castaneum, is a worldwide pest in a store products especially in food grain and the other food products including flour, cereals, pasta, biscuits, beans, and nuts, causing loss and damage. This tribolium has high durability in any condition for example in outdoors it can survive well.
It has, as a consequence, a more southern distribution, though both species are worldwide in heated environments. The adult of the tribolium is long-lived, sometimes living more than three years.
So we can imagine if there are some group of tribolium in our products, it can be full of damage. Tribolium can find its food if there is products that leak or damage in the bag. Tribolium will growth and multiple the population in short period.

So how can we solve the tribolium problem in our products?

There are some of step to clear the tribolium in our products:
1. Found the products which damage or leak in the bagging/packing;
2. Separate the damage products/contamination products in the block or rejected area, this area has to be far away from the good products;
3. Keep clean the area from the scattered powder;
4. Avoid the fumigation process in our products because the prouducts has to be rejected.

If we want to avoid our products for tribolium, we have to keep clean the area and ensure there are not damage or leak bag.
